Try a clay bar or clay mitt. Then some anti swirl. But I would say you would need a DA polisher. Or you could try Ryan at nu finish.

Are the mudflaps new? Could they be stone chips? My car has a bunch of stone chips on both front doors that have came up from the wheels over the years in the same spray pattern as mud would.

They were on the car when I bought it but I believe they've been on for around 6months or so. I was thinking thats the only way it could have happened too.

Going to order a Clay bar online, will also see about getting the car detailed as the black seems to show up all of the imperfections in the paint!

I would try a clay mitt far easier than clay bar. Discount code YOUROCD1

Sorry my mistake on closer inspection I see it's the bumper that needs painted, if those clay mitts put the paint back on it I will take a lorry load of them !!

I got a quote from a detailer off RMS that reckons he can remove the majority of it and detail the rest of the car

You can't remove what's not there. Paint is missing from stone chipping ( peppering ) . Wet sanding etc will bluff it if that's what your looking but it won't replace paint.
    Will there be a no.5 ?

Prob Bigpete from RMS...........PMG Autocare, would be filled and wet sanded then refined. Think Geoff did something similar in one of his threads, red Impreza from memory
Revo Stage 4+............That means 425bhp and 450lb/ft....which obviously means loadsa wheelspin, no grip and destroying front tyres, whilst grinning..a LOT!!
