When you are buying from a dealer the bottom line is the price to change, which obviously depends on the cost of the car that you are interested in buying. My own personal experience is that if the car you are considering buying is a lot more expensive they will generally offer you a better trade in value, as they have more of a margin to play with. If you are buying straight they will offer you a better deal on the windscreen price. It really is just a guide.
