    Default Oil cooler?

    As some of you guy kow my plans on doing some sprint more than thee old show an shine meets , ive been thinking of going for an oil cooler and relocating it were the origanal top mount was, isit woth doning and also isit d.i.y fittable

    Sprints and hills arnt a long enough blast to need one lee. Oil will not reach high enough temps, tho close at kirky.
    Id have one if doin trackdays. Infact i do have one but only because it came with s load of other stuff i bought. Goina use a thermostatic switch in the sandwich plate so that it is only functional when needed

    I fitted one aswell with thermostatic sandwich plate, def helps keep temps down on the track. I was thinking about fitting mine where the top mount was but in the end up when for behind the front grill infront of the radiator after removing the air con rad, I don't know how efficient it would be under the bonnet with the heat of the engine even with the scoop. Fairly handy DIY job if your good with your hands!

    Cheers chaps ive decided to get one , I see they come with diffrent rows of finns I supose the more the better really also do they come with the sandwich plate?

    Does the oil pump need upgraded to be able to push the oil through the added restriction of a cooler?

    Standard subaru oil pump working fine with cooler on my car anyway

    i had the same idea lee but as of yet nowhere near sourcing everything needed, tho id rather have it more for looks under the bonnet

    If in doubt in sure a company like Plant Hoses can make u up custom pipes but they wouldn't be cheap, best make some sort of template using some garden hose pipe for a rough estimate what you mite need

    Mate you must be spying on me? ive it measured were im locating the cooler just above the trottle body , and have chopped garden hose for the way il be running the lines
