Hello - Black Type R

Hi, I've just signed up to this forum. I have a 97 Impreza STI type r. Have keen interest in Corolla Twincams aswell (have one of them too!) but not much compares to the Impreza.

I've done a good bit of work to mine, changed clutch/pressure plate/ regular servicing etc etc and would be pretty confident working on the car.

Here's few pictures of the car, shes by no means concours but she's mechanically perfect, 101k and not missing a beat.
I've got defi gauges and a turbo timer which are pretty cool.

looking for some tips on changing the timing belt cause she's over due!!
If anyone knows where you can get a good deal on all the pulleys tensioners water pump etc please let me know...thanks all comments welcome!

Welcome along, I just love type r's! I got my timing belt from a reputable motor factors, think it was a gates one. I also had to replace the tensioner and got a blue print one which is identical to the subaru oem one, but missing a small stamp in the casing and half the price - thanks to Stu for that tip

white -black -gun metal- but not gold

Black Type R is lovely.
We have Gates timingbelt kits in stock £205,also new water pumps £65 .
Give me a call if youre fitting it yourself and can give you a good guide
