    Default Simtek.

Hi simon, I was thinking about getting the simtek with the anti-lag and launch control added. Would this take you much longer to map than an ecutek? Also is the anti-lag able to be turned off as it is my daily driver?

I had this setup when I had my Subaru (those were the days)...immense!! Anti-lag is turned on and off with the flick of a switch.

No standard turbo is a td04. 280bhp turbo, you get the odd one making more but not usually

Im not really after big power, just want it a nice smooth power delivery. I take it around 280 would be safe enough on standard internals? Is tha anti-lag hard on the turbo?

Do you find the new simteks a bit more awkward than the old versions simon? Just wondering does any of the new features get in the way/be a pain in the **** when trying to get power out of them?

No. The knock control has many option on what it does now and this was cutting in on stephen kidds ecu after his clutch change as it was no longer slipping. So knock control will remove power to save the engine.
