Default bigsigh's - WRX Type-RA, Upgrade and refurb

Im thinkin if i do a project thread then the pressure will be on to keep workin on the car thats the theory anyway.

Keepin it all in a blog style page

    http://www.simonmcferran.co.uk/scooby/rearSub.php

and then i can use this thread for the discussion (fishing for help and advice )

Any way, mechanicin is not my trade, so please bare with me, and any advice will be greatly appreciated!!

I thought the blog would save me updateing multiple threads, i canjust discuss stuff on the threads instead, keeps it a bit cleaner.

No i havent been back to the handbrake cable yet, on the outside i have the cable disconnected from the shoes, but on the back of the hub it seems to be possibly screwed in the back plate? dunno, its so corroded i cudnt see much, and was pi$$ed off last night with the sumframe bolt so i just turn off the light and came home LOL

hmm, not to sure, its slow goin at the min cuz im only gettin a few nights a week at it, and cuz its so rusty, but i would like the subframe out this week and away to get shot blasted and powder coated, while its away i can get the underside sanded and treated (prob schutz, but maybe paint) and then the other bits should be back and i would think building it up should be quicker.

Money will prob be the limiting factor i would say, so far i have the 2 pots and the pads and the brackets to fit them. but i still need

    discs
    goodridge hoses
    coilovers
    and polybushes (Powerflex or Flo-Flex)

so still some big dollas to spend unfortunately, but if all goes well the rear of the car would be done by the end of sept.... fingers crossed

Simon, the Godspeed 335mm front brake upgrade is very good matey, i upgraded to it a few months back and think its great, have the ferodo 2500 pads with it also, bit dusty but no fade at all....just a thought as its a good upgrade kit for the 4 pots which you now have

Heres some info if you are interested:
