    The reason your car knocks and boost cuts on SUL is because jap ecu is for 100 RON fuel so you are actually safer running it on LPG in your case. I would be inclined to say dont ever rag your car on SUL itll go bang.

    Dr Cheese. Seriously wonder why this forum exists. I posted to share my knoweledge of LPG systems. What i drive and my age is of total irrelevance. Ive had my fair share of fast motors and imports. And this car isn't a recent purchase.

    Gambit. my point exactly. If i switch to SUL and boost at all i will almost certainly get the 0.55bar boost cut. Which is a good job. Wouldnt want any other bangs appart from a backfire

    I think lpg is an option. I know the car you own, it was the daily drive of the installers wife for a long time. Its been covered a newage jdm is optimum on 100 ron petrol, every time you drive it on our dung fuel the ecu will retard the timing which results in poor running and loss of performance. On the lpg it runs on the piggy back ecu for 104 ron lpg so it would run better. It is an option for some but not for all.

    Iirc trucker36 now owns Davids old WR1. The conversion was not long done when the car was sold. That car was remapped by Jgm prior to conversion. After the conversion a few issues were identified in the lpg map. The car went back to autogas and it was resolved. The car goesreally well on 97 and gas. Having been in the car when run on gas I can honestly say it went equally well on each fuel and to me there was no difference. I know of other cars on here running lpg, Andys fozzy sti and there is a 99uk classic in tbe north west that has done 200k on gas.

    dont think theres one thing wrong with LPG myself, would have an LPG'd scoob in a heartbeat if my commute wasnt sooo far.
