Was wondering does anyone have or know of someone i can borrow the above item from.

Im helping for a few weeks with the weans brownie troop and they are doing a basic first aid badge and this covers having to try cpr on a ressuci dummy. Would only need it for a few hours on a saturday afternoon.

Can anyone help please?

There is a guy that comes to the P,down most Sundays. He is in the Ambulance service, if he is there tomorrow and can help i will pass your number on Lisa.

St Johns lend them to qualified 1st aiders only as untrained people obviously shouldnt be using them. Your gp will also put you in touch if your stuck.

Agree you would really need to have a qualifed person teaching. best bet is GP or British Heart Foundation putting you in contact with local heartstart coordinator.Poss local hospital Resus officer if very stuck. COI - Am an Advanced Life Support instructor.

I'm a fully trained first aider Lisa,

I did 2 First Aid courses though work when i live in New York. American Red Cross. It was a week long for the first and then 2 weeks for the second. I've also done a few St Johns courses over here.

Anaphylaxis first aid - Did that in the states as so many of the kids had stuff wrong with them so it was really important to be able to do it.

Defibrillator and CPR

The First Aid at Work course which is fully HSE approved

Then the baby one which includes

I do alot of youth work at the weekends so it's important to have all of the above.

It's handy to have too. I guess you never know when you are going to need it.

I could get you RA is needed.

If someone who is trained would be willing to give up two hrs on a saturday in november would be even better, just to cover the basics of cpr

I had my first aid with st. johns up to Ambulance one but due to married life, kiddies etc never kept it up. Its well out of date now.
