Will VHT Crinkle Paint work on plastic ?
Covered my alternator belt cover with Carbon Vinyl which looked great , for one journey ! Other option is to paint it to match the crinkle red , but not sure if it will take to plastic ? When painting metal do you use primer or anything , or is it just one coat ?

should work yes. best get a tin of self etching primer to give the paint the best chance of sticking.

in two minds , might be as easy buying a chrome cover and wrapping it as they arent as curved which is why the vinyl lifted.

Why not just buy a proper carbon cover instead of messing around with that 3m dung?

difference of about £70 !
I had the 3m in the garage and give it a go. It can be pulled off at any time , if it stuck in the 1st place

me too , but when i got a Stainless slam panel to replace the removed the air scoop it looked out of place so i wrapped it. Then i used the leftovers to wrap the belt cover , but might just leave it plastic.

Might be an idea to get it dipped, I've seen some parts that were done and you couldn't tell it wasn't real carbon! Fantastic finish IMHO.
