Default 52mm Defi 'style' gauge for Hawk

Gauges are sorted, I need a holder for my hawk like the defi ones with the anti glare hoods. I'd need one with clips to fit as I can't be bothered with glue or bonding etc, likely look gash and be hard to reverse.

Anyone have one or know where I can get one?

Looked on eBay etc but most come from Hong Kong or need glued etc.

    cheers

    Check Scoobyworld or Scoobybits mate.
Defi do their own pod but from memory it was only on sale in the states and was silly money.

Thats the one I've had for a few years Norm. The insert is tacky, i lightly sanded and painted it to a matt black

Ok, so the pod has the gauges set.
    next comes the fitting:

is this part the best way to install oil temp and pressure?

Scoobyparts Ltd OIL PRESSURE & OIL TEMPERATURE GAUGE FITTING KIT (PINK)

the how to guides on the net are a bit 'American'.

is it difficult to fit? What engine parts need removed? Could me and my dad do it ok?

The oil pressure sensor bung on cylinder 3 is a pig to get at. The oil temp can be got by fitting a sensor which fits in a hollow threaded sump plug adaptor. The boost guage sensor is fitted inline. The adaptors for the sensors can be got on eBay or Scooby World.

Boost is easy. I didnt cut my vacuum pipe, but pushed it up so the T piece went on the end and bought some new black piping (comes with clear stuff in the prosports). Alternator off for pressure so just mark off on the adjustment so u have the same setting. Temperature is intercooler off, long arms help and make sure you get the intercooler pipe back on and not pushed to 1 side. I did mine myself. I would attempt it, take your time just. The only thing that can go wrong is if the bung on cyc 3 shears, but then that could happen to anyone.

Ok thanks chaps. I have the t junction coming out for boost already near my dump valve, the car had gauges on it before, that should be the easier one.

I'll get the other part(s) and see if. I attempt it ourselves, MOT due by 19th Jan and have to find out if I have de-cat because it one of these new checks

In fitting the new bungs on the block I'd be worried about over tightening or busted my block, again, how easy is this to do and are there set tightness' to have these bungs put in at?

the oil filter sandwich plate seems an easy way to do this but I believe it's inaccurate for readings?

Is there no adaptor out there so only one bung has to be replaced that could do both pressure and temperature?
