    Default Which gear box oil

I'm going to give the car a quick fliud change, any recommendations on which gearbox oil is the best for my 97 type r, and where would be the best (cheapest) place to buy it. I have been told that a good heavy duty type would be good, but dont know which 1!

    Cheers

Barry, drain the diff with the lower plug, refit lower plug, remove top plug, fill to the base of the threads of the top plug. Job done.

No need to remove the diff at all. Halfords sell a half litre pump which is handy for refilling them.

Being a type R i would imagine it has LSD on the rear so use LS oil.
