Default Oxygen Sensor/Lambda Sensor/Air to Fuel Sensor help

    Hey Guys,
Wondering if any one can help.

I recently had the air to fuel ratio sensor (oxygen sensor/lambda sensor/bank 1 sensor 1) replaced on my 04 Forester. The emission control light is not switching off though. Should it go off itslef if the sensor works or do i have to have it switched off like the guy at the garage says?
Place that replaced the sensor cant switch it off so i dont want to have to pay more money to get it switched off but i dont want to leave it on in case there is a new problem and then ill never know.
In galway where can i go?

If you reset it and it doesn't reappear then it should be ok. I'd be getting the code read first to make sure there's no problems
