Has it a 2 port or a 3 port solenoid?

Depends on the boost solenoid and what way it is plumbed!

You can plumb some of them up 2 different ways and 1 of the ways still requires the restrictor.

Does it run ok? If so then don't worry!

If you are running the 3 port setup so that the restrictor isnt needed and your wastegate duty is setup for the 3 port then there is no safety issue.
Did you fit the 3 port? has the car ever been tuned or running an aftermarket ecu?
