Help needed wrx keeps cutting out

My problem is when I go round a bend the rev drop and the car cuts out the management light flashed 5/6 time then went out I got the codes read and I said throttle sensor was faulty so I replace it the problem is still in the car with no fault codes thanks

Post some more info about the car Kieran, age, mods, any recent changes? Is it running ok at idle, on a straight, a hill etc?
How long have you had the car?

Robert I have had the car 6 months the car is standard about from air intake and decat it's mapped the car hold back abit if you put your foot down some times the power is not then the 1-2 sec it kicks in and it flys the car is 2002 when you go round a roundabout the car just dies and it hard to start again

Fuel pump... battery leads fuel filter????

I have not changed the fuel filter yet

Fuel pump could be on its way out. Maybe the fuel filter is blocked putting extra strain on it

Does it only happen on corners? Going right I take it? Do you ever get the symptoms driving hard in a straight line? Sounds like fuel starvation but could be an electrical fault with a wire rubbing or moving when car turns. How is your earth lead positions? My advice is to look at the simple stuff first, change your fuel filter and check your earth points on engine and chassis. Also what condition is your airfilter? Check it's not restricted. Hope you get it sorted matey.

Thanks Wayne if I put my foot down its like the power stops then about 1-2 sec the power kicks back in and at times sputter I was driveing up the m1 about 65 mph i went to over take a car and it started to fart and sputter it.fells like the clutch is slipping but it not when I got the codes read it said throttle position sensor so I changed it and it not as bad as it was before but still there I changed it fell like a fuel Problen im lost as what to do I have taken the battery off tonight hoping the ecu resets it slef

Could be an intercooler problem, If one of your pipes where loose or split it would also give the same issues. Give your hoses a good check. Also is your your boost coming in as normal or is it just on the throttle from nothing you feel the hesition, the simpilist things are the hardest to find but the most rewarding cuz you usually find them yourself lol.

well I could ask who he took the car too to get the codes read then fitted a throtle position sensor but car is still running bad. Asking questions on here and having a check yourself could save you money but will get you familiorised with your car.

yes it could be fuel filter could be fuel pump , battery leads.over boost ect could be air filter thats a lot of money

Check the lines from your boost solenoid for blockages too. Although I don't think they could cause the engine to actually cut out. Could cause the hesitation though. Good luck getting it sorted.

Indeed it could but if you have a check yourself it could save you from taking it to a specialist who will charge you to just have a look.

Is this the car that needed mapped? Has it been mapped or was it put back to how it was ie the normal injectors and turbo and running on the ecu for that set up?
