Default slack/loose gear shift on type r

like title says, used to be good and tight, but has recently become like stirring a pot of soup, have to kinda search for the gears and doesn't find neutral position as readily.
    any suggestions?

sweet thanks do you know if they're tricky to fit or not?
had a look underneath today and there does seem to be a bit of play there, didn't seem a whole lot but I suppose by the time it travels to the gearstick it amplifies?

There is also a bolt on the rear of the dccd box that sometimes works loose and can cause really notchy shifts
