6sp clutch kit

Hey folks...

needing a clutch for the car now

starting to slip under heavy load in 5th and 6th gear... so... time to change.

Is it worth replacing with a std clutch.. or should I go with the likes of an Exedy... which can be picked up v cheap at around £230ish on ebay for a plate and cover... or are they a waste of time?

Does anyone know the size of the 6 speed clutch plate? I was in talking to my local motorfactors on Saturday and their computer could not find the clutch I needed.. most of them showing up as 5sp clutches for the earlier STI.

marc a fella i know got a good clutch from motoglass at a really good price give them a buzz mate

only problem is trying to get the correct one from the likes of motoglass.... there are a TON of clutches for different scoobies etc... I know a guy that owns a motorfactors and owes me a favour.. so I would likely get it at cost price plus delivery from him...

need a clutch myself shortly but have been told to wait for a while as the latest batch of exedy clutches are not up to scratch .something to do with them changing the material in them .quite a few remarks on scoobynet about them just a word of warning

6 speed clutch is 240mm mate, i get my supplies from these guys never had a problem yet!
