    Default STI Air filter

I am using one of these at the min. I was wondering is it actually an upgrade from a standard paper filter as it looks as if its a lot thicker therefore would let less air through. It only states in the ads for them that they have better dust retention than the paper filter but doesn't mention performance, I cant imagine Subaru would make a filter as dear as these that would restrict airflow. Im happy with it plus it looks cool with the sti logo on it.lol

I have tried just about every panel filter out there and am happiest with the sti one. I have two green filters, one pipercross and one pro R all with about two hundred miles each, must get them sold on.
