Default MY 05 Sti Uk - Crystal Grey

    Well Lads!
So I decided to finally post a few pics of my scoob, and the mods I have done so far!

Got her on New Years Day so not a bad start to the year!

Anyway heres the spec when I got it:

    05 sti UK
    Crystal Grey
    45 Kmls

I wanted to get some decent mods without spending a ball of cash so on to the ad sites, and fleabay to see what I could get!

First off was to search for a new set of rims but was in no hurry as wasn't gonna put em on in the middle of that winter we were having!

So I started with some suspesion mods - got some Whiteline goodies for **** all money so couldn't say no! - Anti Lift Kit, Uprated ARB and some Alloy Droplinks (£205 in total incl postage!)

    Anti Lift Kit

Small bit of surface rust on the ARB but I wont be lookin at it!!

    Whiteline Alloy Droplinks

Firstly I put in the ARB and the droplinks (Sat eve job!) took her for a spin to see if id notice much difference - was definitely tighter on the road but I thought I'd notice more!
On Sun I put in the Whiteline Anti Lift Kit (couple of hours work with all the spacers and all) - Took her out for a spin and OMG, I thought I was in another car - Huge difference - there was almost no lift under hard acceleration and much more control in the steering, The car felt much better and more solid while cornering hard! Well impressed! In my opinion one of the best suspension mods u could do!

That was the front almost sorted - (waiting on a Front strut brace)
For the Rear - a Whiteline rear ARB and rear Alloy Droplinks! - TBC another day!

After another month or so I was getting badly in need of a new set of rubber so started properly looking for a set of 18" alloys in Gunmetal - After a week or two I settled on a set of 18" Inovit Torques and some Vredstein Sessantas 225/40/18 to go with them!

Got a good deal on the Vredsteins - £430 incl delivery to ROI - Happy days!

Then it was off to HT Autos for a front splitter and some back spats - i always thought they looked good on a blob!

I also got a set of Prodrive lowering springs and had planned on puttin em in before the wheels went on but half way through fitting I noticed that the rear springs were different - The springs were from an 05 WRX and I found out the hard way that they wouldnt fit an 05 STI! . . sickened.com
Anyway . . . now on the look out for a set that will fit! . . Ah well . .Ya live and learn!

Some Pics after a bit of a clean!

Nxt Step is to fit a set of Prodrive PU rally mudflaps that Ive jst got along with changing all the decals to graphite!
Then a set of prodrive lowering springs and a de-tango to finish it off!

Of course then the big stuff
    - Full straight through exhaust
    - 3 port Boost guage
    - Walbro Pump
    - Remap with JGM or Bob Rawle

I will get some more pics up when its all done!

All comments / advice / questions welcome!

Lovely car, don't like the wheels . Just my opinion. Needs lowered as well. I found the same with the whiteline ALK , best mod I done for suspension. I used h&r springs in mine to get the desired height, dear but very good.
    Will there be a no.5 ?

Very nice, Whiteline is great kit.
That Vredstein sessanta tyre pattern always confused me, just looks wrong, but I know they are made like that

Re Shack: Tints were actually on her when I got it and it went through a NCT ok!! . . bloody hope it goes through the nxt one ok too! hehe!

Re Big red T & Stu: Lowering springs on the way!! - Dont think i'll get away with 40mm tho, least not on the roads around here!!

Re Scooby Blue: Yer not the only one to think that! at first I thought I got all left tyres myself! But I have to say they are top notch - superb grip!

So, I finally got around to finishing some mods I had been planning after a full service and a once over from Dave at STI Tuning! (Cheers Lads!)

    - H&R Lowering Springs (35mm Drop)
    - Prodrive PU Mudflaps fitted,
    - De-tango (silvatec bulbs on the way)
    - De-badged the bootlid and removed all stickers
    - STI Genome Strut Brace fitted
    - Prodrive 3-port boost
    - Walbro pump fitted

I got some graphite grey Prodrive and STI decals to put on but i'm rather liking the clean look at the moment!

All thats left now is the full de-cat (after the NCT) and a re-map!

A few quick pics, will get some better ones up soon!

As always, thoughts / comments welcome!

De-tango and De-badged the front grille and re-sprayed the surround

De-badged the boot lid -a lot cleaner now!
